Directions to Camp
Phantom Lake YMCA Camp is located in the scenic southeastern corner of Wisconsin and is easily accessible from anywhere in the state. It’s just 45 minutes from Milwaukee, 90 minutes from Madison or Rockford, and 120 minutes from Chicago.
From Chicago
Take I-94 West towards Milwaukee to Hwy 20 West (Racine Exit). Take Hwy 20 West to Hwy 83 North (In Waterford). Take Hwy 83 North to Mukwonago. At Third Stop Light, turn Left on Bay View Rd (1/4 mile past intersection with I-43, just past Taco Bell/Citgo). Take Bay View Road west to the Stop Light. Turn left on Hwy ES (Main Street) and go to Hwy J Turn right onto Hwy J at the Elegant Farmer (Yellow barn with smiley face). Camp entrance is 1/4 mile on right. Look for the sign—Phantom Lake YMCA Camp on YMCA Camp Rd.
From Madison
Take I-94 East toward Milwaukee to Hwy 83 South (2nd Delafield Exit). Take Hwy 83 South to Mukwonago. At second stop light in downtown Mukwonago turn right onto Hwy ES (Main St). Take Hwy ES to Hwy J. Turn right onto Hwy J at the Elegant Farmer. The camp entrance is about 1/4 mile down the road on the right. Look for the Phantom Lake YMCA Camp sign on YMCA Camp Rd.
From Milwaukee
Take 1-43 South towards Beloit until you get to the Mukwonago Exit (Hwy 83). Take Hwy 83 North 1/4 mile to Bay View Road (first Stop Light), just past Taco Bell/Citgo. Take Bay View Road west to the Stop Light. Turn left on Hwy ES (Main Street) and go to Hwy J Turn right onto Hwy J at the Elegant Farmer. Camp entrance is 1/4 mile on right. Look for the sign—Phantom Lake YMCA Camp on YMCA Camp Rd.
Our Camp Site
Located on approximately 72 acres at the south end of Upper Phantom Lake, our site offers a wide variety of terrain, including a lake, a marsh, kettle holes, pine and oak woods, and native Wisconsin prairie. The camp buildings are centralized at the west end of the camp property, on about nine acres, and include our dining hall, nature lodge, health lodge, staff lodge and historic Alford Lodge as a central program area. Traditional wooden platform canvas tents are located on the hill in main camp. Additional screened in platform tents with roofs are located on the edge of the kettles on campfire hill.
